JA slide show

Welcome to Carolingia!

The Barony of Carolingia is the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, the "SCA". The SCA is a 501(c)(3) educational organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th century Europe.

How do I get involved?

To get involved, you need to know when and where things are happening!  There are several easy ways to do this.  First, email the  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Agnes Seymour, who will be happy to answer any questions and offer suggestions as to where to start.

Second, you might consider signing up for our mailing list.  Generally, this list is fairly low-traffic, and contains announcements, notifications (of cancelations and so on), and a few discussions.  The link to sign up for the mailing list is here: http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/carolingia.

Third, check out the page below.  This lists the weekly meetings and activities in and around the Barony of Carolingia, and you are welcome to attend any of them.  We try to keep the information current, but feel free to email the chatelaine or the contact person of a meeting to check beforehand.

Also, as some practices are held at private homes, the exact address may not be here.  Please email the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or the contact person to check on scheduling and location beforehand.

Unless otherwise noted, wearing regular clothing is fine.  Attending all practices is not required for participation.

Children under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian present at all times.
